Video Visit Support
OU Health MyChart video visits are a convenient and secure way to receive
care without going to the clinic in person. Video visits are offered by
clinics where it is appropriate, and you can ask your OU Health provider
if a video visit is an option.
Using state-of-the-art security, video visits are safe and private way
to speak with your care provider. Video visits are not recorded.
You can use a computer, tablet or smartphone for your video visit. Your
device needs to have webcam, speakers and a microphone. You do need an
OU Health MyChart account for your video visit, but it will make it easier.
Preparing for Your Video Visit
Before your scheduled appointment, you should take a few minutes to test
your set-up. If you run into any challenges, feel free to call our 24/7
OU Health MyChart support line at
(572) 206-2579.
Tips for a Good Experience
-
Log in to
MyChart 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment and find your upcoming appointment
under “Visits” or “Appointments.” Complete the
E-check in process. This check-in is required before starting your video visit.
- If your provider is more than 15 minutes late to your appointment, please
exit the video and call their office for assistance.
- If you are on a web browser, you might need to allow access to video and
camera. When asked to allow access to the camera and microphone, you must
click “Yes” or “Allow.” Otherwise, your doctor
will not be able to see or hear you.
- Remember to unmute yourself when you begin your visit. Check to make sure
your speaker volume is up.
- Make sure your WiFi or cell connection is strong. Try finding a location
with a good signal or switching to a strong WiFi network.
- If you receive a phone call during your video visit, and your visit is
disrupted, hit the refresh button on your browswer to re-establish your
connection.
Billing & Cost
Video visits are typically billed similarly to an in-office clinic visit.
You will want to confirm any questions with your insurance company.
