The Zone at Oklahoma Children's Hospital

You may not connect the word “fun” with your hospitalized child, but your child and everyone in your family affected by the illness needs a way to take an occasional break.

Great Space for Play & Learning

When your child becomes a patient at Oklahoma Children's Hospital, you and your family can take a break in The Zone, our community-funded, 6,000-square-foot play-and-learning haven located on the 6th Floor across from the Ronald McDonald Family Room. You’ll find:

  • Children’s play space
  • Teen space
  • Infant and toddler play area
  • In the Zone TV closed circuit
  • Dedicated therapeutic music space
  • Space for community visitors
  • STEM and innovation area

Relax with Activities for Fun & Growth

Your family and child have time and space to relax in The Zone while your family takes advantage of fun, educational and therapeutic activities that help your child and any siblings cope with illness and hospitalization. This includes:

  • Interactive play
  • Electronic gaming
  • Books
  • Musical instruments
  • “In the Zone TV” television programming provided by Oklahoma Children's Hospital available to everyone in the hospital and developed specifically for kids unable to leave their hospital rooms. Look for ITZTV on Channel 90.
