Every story within our walls celebrates the fighting spirit of tiny heroes. Check out these incredible programs that make a child’s stay just a little bit easier when they’re at Oklahoma Children’s Hospital.

The Child Life Zone

The Zone is a community-funded 6,000-square-foot play-and-learning haven where patients and siblings can play, explore, learn, socialize and forget their worries. The Zone is staffed by a team of Child Life Specialists, Art and Music Therapists, and event coordinators trained in meeting the psychosocial needs of children in health care settings.

Here you’ll find toys for every age, therapeutic play, imaginative crafts, STEM projects, air hockey, video games, puzzles, and creative programming designed to support children and families.

In The Zone TV - Live Shows

Every week day, we host live Bingo, Masked Artist, Lip Sync Battles or Kahoot shows that stream to kids who cannot leave their rooms to play. Activities are fun for all ages and kids can play from their hospital room, call or text in, and win prizes.

Innovation & STEM Programs

Our newest offering in The Zone, we have robots, a 3D printer, laser cutter and STEM-themed activities. New, one-of-a-kind projects are available to kids who love to tinker, and legacy projects are helping families build memories and share joyous moments with loved ones.

Patient & Family Special Events

​Being in the hospital can be lonely and disappointing — missing all those fun, big moments and holidays is hard. We work to provide these special moments, so kids can still celebrate and make special memories while here with us at Oklahoma Children’s Hospital. Even if a party comes in a box, we find creative ways to support our kids and families. From “Camp Week” and holiday parades, to puppy play dates, painting and The Prom, our community partners and special event sponsors make magic come to life!

Toy Cart

Since the 1970s, amazing Volunteers have run the Toy Cart and made the first days in the hospital a little brighter for newly admitted patients — and some who endure lengthier stays. Providing toys and activities helps kids focus on what should be their most important work… learning, playing, creating and healing.
