About This Location
Autumn Life Behavioral Health Center at OU Health Edmond Medical Center offers a dedicated inpatient behavioral health program developed to meet the unique needs of mature adults, age 55 and older. This geriatric psychiatry program addresses and seeks to relieve the suffering that occurs due to changes in emotional, mental and behavioral wellness.
Advancing age often brings increased dependence, and feelings of isolation, loss and grief are not uncommon. Autumn Life recognizes the physical, emotional and mental changes that occur in this transitional time of life may be intense and guides patients and families through them.
With a focus on accurate diagnosis, stabilization and treatment, our approach is individualized. Treatment takes place in a setting that promotes healing, with full access to services available at OU Health Edmond Medical Center.
A multidisciplinary team works with patients and families in order to develop individualized plans of care to effectively meet patients’ needs. Members of the care team include board-certified psychiatrists, acute-care physicians and a range of mental health professionals.
