About Zhamak Khorgami

Dr. Khorgami is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Surgery. He obtained his medical degree from Tehran University and completed a General Surgery residency at the University of Oklahoma–Tulsa. He has completed fellowships in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery at the University of Miami and the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Khorgami is extensively published in general surgery and weight loss surgery. He serves as medical director of the OU Surgery Clinic and is an Optum Center of Excellence (COE) bariatric surgeon.

    He was a very nice guy and he was very caring. He was very concerned and I appreciate him so much.

    I have nothing bad to say about Dr. Murugami or any of the medical staff. The receptionist, the young gentleman at reception, however, is an entirely different story. He definitely is not a courteous caregiver and somebody who probably should not be at the front reception desk. Thank you.
