About Thomas Owens III
Thomas P. Owens III, MD, is a Family Medicine physician with OU Health Physicians in Edmond and Oklahoma City, with added specialization in Sports Medicine. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK and medical degree from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, OK. He then completed his Family & Preventative Medicine residency and Sports Medicine fellowship both at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, OK. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and holds a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Sports Medicine (CAQSM).
Dr. Owens greatly enjoys treating patients across truly all ages and walks of life, managing a broad spectrum of conditions in-house, but also taking pride in helping patients navigate the health care field in both timely and cost-effective fashion when needed. He also has particular interest in sports and rehabilitative medicine as outlined below. A native of Edmond, in his free time, Dr. Owens love playing or (watching virtually!) all sports, board games, movie nights, diverse cuisines, and spending time with his family, friends, and pups at home.
