About Lieschen Quiroz
Dr. Quiroz is a Professor at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences and is board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery. She attended Brown University and received her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, and a fellowship in Urogynecology & Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery at Johns Hopkins.
Dr. Quiroz has national and international recognition and is best known for her work in the field of 3D ultrasound of the pelvic floor. She is one of the leading scholars in the nation on this topic. She teaches numerous lectures and workshops at national and international conferences on the subject.. From a scholarly performance, she has published over 75 peer-reviewed manuscripts in addition to review articles and book chapters.
Dr. Quiroz holds positions of national prominence in the field of Urogynecology. She serves as assistant editor of the Urogynecology Journal, which is the official journal of the American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS). She also serves as an examiner for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology subspecialty exam for Urogynecology and she serves on the ABOG Board of Directors for the Urogynecology subspecialty. She is an expert in robotic, laparoscopic and vaginal surgery, and has a strong commitment the medical education of students, residents and fellows. She is currently the Division Director and Fellowship Director of Urogynecology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences.
