About Krittapoom Akrawinthawong
Krittapoom Akrawinthawong, MD, MSc (Dr.Kritt) is a cardiologist with OU Health in Oklahoma City. As a cardiac electrophysiologist, his clinical practice focuses on the diagnosis and treatment for irregular heart rhythms, known as arrhythmias.
Dr. Akrawinthawong earned his medical degree at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand. He completed a residency in internal medicine at St.John hospital/Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI. He completed a fellowship in cardiology at St. Louis School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO and a fellowship in cardiac electrophysiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine in Birmingham, AL.
Prior to joining OU, he was a director of cardiac electrophysiology laboratory at Prairie Heart Insitute/Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL.
Dr. Akrawinthawong's research focuses on outcomes on EP procedures, ventricular tachycardia and devices/leads management.
