No one laid a hand on me (like with a stethoscope to listen to my chest and lung) except the nurse/tech who took my vitals. The PA/resident did not touch me or listen to my chest and neither did Dr. Schwartz. When he came in he clearly had no idea why I was there and basically said "you're free to go, you don't need to see me anymore" after only seeing him the very few times he came to my hospital room when I was inpatient. I asked him if I was cleared to fly on an aircraft and I asked him if I was going to have to keep coming back every 4-6 weeks to get my esophagus scoped and to place or remove esophageal stents and he said yes - unless my condition improved and my esophagus stayed open without the stent and without returning to the narrowed size post-dilation. I hadn't seen Dr. Schwartz since between April 10th, 2024 to May 13th, 2024 unless he happened to stop by my hospital room - which rarely happened. And when I did finally reach the correct department at the hospital and they forwarded my call to Dr. Schwartz's office so I could set up the follow-up visit with him as ordered by my former PCP/GP, his office said that they had no record of me in their system and I would have to register as a new patient which I declined to do.
