About Cory Cross

Dr. Cory Cross is a highly accomplished pulmonologist at OU Health. As an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, he is a key figure in the Section of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. Dr. Cross serves as the Sleep Medicine Program Director, overseeing the training and development of future specialists. His clinical focus includes managing critical care cases, pulmonary diseases, and sleep disorders, with a strong commitment to advancing patient care in these areas.

Dr. Cross earned his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, where he also completed his internship, residency, and fellowships in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. His postgraduate training included a fellowship in Sleep Medicine and Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Prior to these, he served as an intern and resident in Internal Medicine. His foundational education includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Oklahoma.

Beyond his clinical and teaching roles, Dr. Cross actively contributes to the community and academic environments. He has held various positions including the Adult Medical Director at the Sleep Disorders Center at OU Medical Center and serves as a Staff Physician at the VA Health Care System. Outside of his professional life, Dr. Cross enjoys engaging in community health initiatives and mentoring young medical students. His balanced approach to life and medicine reflects his dedication to both professional excellence and personal fulfillment.
