About Colbert Nelson

Colbert Nelson, M.D., is a sports medicine and family medicine physician with OU Health Physicians in Oklahoma City. He obtained his medical degree from the William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Hattiesburg, MS, completed a family medicine residency and sports medicine fellowship at the University of Missouri-Columbia, School of Medicine in Columbia, MO. Dr. Nelson also holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, AR.

Dr. Nelson is dedicated to treating each patient as an individual and takes the time to work together with them for their own health. Dr. Nelson's patient care philosophy emphasizes personalized care and collaboration to achieve the best health outcomes. He is passionate about helping patients of all ages and backgrounds, ensuring they receive comprehensive and compassionate care. Dr. Nelson is excited to join the OU Health team and contribute to the well-being of the community. In his free time, he enjoys staying active and engaging in various sports activities.
