About Alexander Bien

Alexander G. Bien, MD, FACS is a board-certified otolaryngologist at OU Health with fellowship training in otology, neurology and skull base surgery. Dr. Bien earned his medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Illinois. He completed his residency training in otolaryngology from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska and completed a fellowship in otology, neurology, and skull base surgery at The House Ear Clinic, Los Angeles, California.

Dr. Bien has a focus on clinical and translational research in surgery, including cochlear implants, surgical treatment of vertigo and chronic ear surgery. He is board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, with an additional subspecialty certification in neurotology.

    Need options other than the same old one's he wants. Operate or Leave it be, I have asked about the Fibroblast grow factor regeneration of tympanic membrane perforations. He knows nothing about it. There's been trials run on both coast with pretty good results. It's used in Japan a lot. I would be willing to get on a trail if there was one. Asked him to check on it. I don't have the contacts.
