About Ahmed Awab
Dr. Ahmed Awab is a pulmonologist and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, where he specializes in pulmonary and critical care. He completed his fellowship and residency at OU Health Sciences Center after training at Mayo Hospital in Lahore, Pakistan.
In addition to his academic role, Dr. Awab serves as the Curriculum Coordinator for the Department of Medicine. He is board-certified in interventional pulmonology, neurocritical care, and internal medicine.
Dr. Awab is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology, the American Thoracic Society, and the American College of Chest Physicians. He has been recognized for his dedication to education and patient care, receiving the Stewart Wolfe Award for Best Resident.
