Dr. Roberto C. Heros is a distinguished neurosurgeon and Co-Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Miami. Specializing in cerebrovascular surgery, he has authored over 200 refereed articles and four textbooks. His NIH-funded research focused on cerebral protection from ischemia.
Dr. Heros has held key positions, including Director of Cerebrovascular Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital and Chairman of Neurosurgery at the University of
Minnesota. He has served as President of several neurosurgical societies and received numerous awards, including the AANS's Cushing Medal.
