OU Health’s Chief Physician Executive and President of OU Health Partners, Ian F. Dunn, M.D., FACS, FAANS, has announced three leadership roles for the physician group and ambulatory services, including the appointment of a Chief Administrative Officer of OU Health Partners, a Vice President of Ambulatory Operations and a Vice President of Finance for Ambulatory Services.
Jay Kaneria has been named as the inaugural Chief Administrative Officer for OU Health Partners. Kaneria has served as the administrative director of strategic planning and financial analysis for OU Health since August 2019 and in the new role he will further contribute in the transformation of OU Health by supporting and elevating the physician organization as the state’s premier physician group.
Mandy Newman began serving as the Interim Vice President of Ambulatory Services for OU Health in October of 2022 and has been named as the inaugural Vice President of Ambulatory Operations. In this role, Newman will focus on the day-to-day operations and standards for all ambulatory services across the health system and will address the needs identified by our physicians, advanced practice providers and ambulatory staff. She will support clinic leadership through data-driven decision making and assist with creating the infrastructure for future-state ambulatory operations.
In addition to the operational leaders, Jeffrey Smith has been appointed as the Vice President of Finance for Ambulatory Services and OU Health Partners. Smith previously worked at OhioHealth, where he served in the roles of Vice President of Finance and as Chief Financial Officer for the Health Plan since 2011. Smith also worked for nine years at Montefiore Medical Center in The Bronx, NY, as the Chief Financial Officer for the Home Health and Physician Enterprise.
This organizational infrastructure bolsters the state’s largest physician group, OU Heath Partners, with leadership infrastructure that will advance the capabilities of OU Health as the state’s academic referral center while enabling improvements in quality, patient experience and patient outcomes.
Dunn said, “I am looking forward to the improvements the restructure and appointment of Kaneria, Newman and Smith will make as we advance patient care in the outpatient setting. Each of these talented individuals have a proven record of excellence in their roles and will further the growth of OU Health into the state’s flagship academic health system.”
