OU Health and Intuitive Health Open Second Combined ER/Urgent Care in South Oklahoma City

Building on the partnership which started with the launch of a combined emergency service and urgent care facility under one roof in Yukon in June, 2022, OU Health and Intuitive Care are opening a second facility in South Oklahoma City. The facility, located at 3025 S.W. 104 St., will start seeing patients on Thursday, August 17, 2023.
With ER and urgent care in the same building, patients no longer need to self-diagnose the level of care they need when they are sick or injured and patients will only be charged for the level of care required. Patients who only use the urgent care service only pay for that service, keeping costs down.
Each facility will operate a full-service ER 24 hours a day with urgent care hours from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily including weekends, providing the most urgent care hours in Oklahoma City and surrounding areas. Outside of those hours, ER pricing applies. Facilities will have on-site lab equipment, a radiology suite with X-ray, and multi-slice CT scanners so that testing can be performed under the same roof. Every patient will be seen by a board-certified physician, and an assessment will determine if the appropriate care is emergency or urgent care.
“I am delighted to announce the opening of a second OU Health Emergency Room & Urgent Care facility in South Oklahoma City in our ongoing partnership with Intuitive Health,” said Richard Lofgren, M.D., President and CEO of OU Health. “This facility provides patients with two exceptional healthcare services under one roof with the benefit of fully equipped facilities, and board-certified ER-trained physicians. This will not only save money for patients and their employers, but will also give them access to quality OU Health care, close to home.”
The opening of a second provider-based FSED & Urgent Care Clinic is a milestone for OU Health and Intuitive Health as the partnership continues in its aim to provide convenient, accessible, and high-quality healthcare services to patients.
“One of our philosophies is ‘Patients First,’ and that is the driving force for every decision we make at OU Health,” said Ian F. Dunn, M.D., Chief Physician Executive with OU Health. “From project concept to completion, this team, inclusive of Anchor Health Properties, E4H Architecture, and JE Dunn Construction, embodied this core value in support of our strategic goals.”
