OKLAHOMA CITY—OU Physicians Surgery Clinic-Vascular Lab has received Intersocietal Accreditation Commission reaccreditation. The lab underwent an intensive application and review process in order to receive this seal of approval.
“It is important to choose a facility with IAC accreditation when you refer patients for vascular imaging to evaluate their vascular diseases and further develop intervention plans,” said Dr. Hyein Kim, assistant professor, department of Surgery at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine.
“This demonstrates a high level of accountability to which we are held as a healthcare organization and our continued dedication to achieving the highest standards for patient care. This is our promise to our patients because we believe that our patients deserve the best quality vascular care.”
The vascular studies performed daily at OU Vascular Lab include Carotid artery studies, aneurysm screening and surveillance, upper and lower extremity arterial and venous studies, dialysis access studies, Ankle-brachial indices (ABIs), Toe-brachial indices (TBIs), mesenteric and renal studies, and more.
